This years Bristol Model Railway Exhibition will be held from Friday 3rd May until Sunday 5th May 2024. It will be held at the Thornbury Leisure Centre, Alveston Hill, Thornbury, BRISTOL BS35 3JB

18th May 2024 - 18th May 2024 American Day 2024

Back by popular demand, an American Day will be held by the East Anglia Group at their premises near Stowmarket, Suffolk on Saturday 18th May 2024 from ten o'clock to four o' clock(ish).  This is a celebration of North American railways - which includes Canadian - so if you have any locomotives and stock you would like to run then please come along.  We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits but you should bring your own sandwiches. If anyone would like to join us then please contact Chris Turnbull at christurnbull51@gmail.com.

Using the Events list

This events list is in the public part of the website and should only include events open to the public though admittance may have to be arranged in advance. However, some closed-to-the-public events do creep into this list by mistake so you are advised to check with the organisers before attending. There is also a members only events list in the password protected part of the website.

Please note that most G1MRA events are organised locally and that some Groups have their own websites – See Groups for further information

Please observe the protocol: Spectators are not to get in the way of drivers of trains and drivers should not obstruct the tracks when stopping. (see Standards and Guidance).

For G1MRA run exhibitions, but not Get-Togethers unless specifically requested, please take the current boiler certificate for each live steam loco you wish to run (see Standards and Guidance).
