Meridienne Exhibitions, organisers of the Midlands Garden Rail Show, have sadly announced that the May 2021 show has had to be cancelled due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
Having already been postponed from 20th & 21st March to 22nd & 23rd May 2021 it now seems unlikely, despite the Government Road Map for the restarting of events from 17th May that the organisers can present the event with the limitations imposed on visitor numbers. It is also only 6 days from the reopening of the country on the 17thMay until the event on 22nd May and the risk of slippage on the Government timescales is quite possible meaning the event could not take place at all.
The decision to cancel the May show has therefore had to be taken since it is not possible to accurately predict if restrictions will have eased sufficiently to enable the organisers to plan and deliver this highly popular show safely without compromise.
Chris Deith, Exhibition Director of Meridienne Exhibitions explains “We are aware that our exhibitors and visitors will be as disappointed as we are with having to take this decision but given the uncertain times it is simply not possible to go ahead with the show at this time. We look forward to returning on 19th & 20th March 2022.
