We are a long established friendly Group with members generally residing in the triangle between Luton, Hemel Hempstead and Aylesbury. We do not have a committee or officers, but Bob Carter is the person to contact for further information.
We hold informal GTG’s in the summer and meetings during the winter at member’s houses. Several members have tracks to which the Group is invited from April onwards on a scheduled basis.
During 2012 the old London Portable Test Track, which now resides at Bekonscot Model Village, was completely refurbished by the Group. It is now lighter to handle and has a revised track plan with new rails, points and gauge widened curves. It has had several outings and trouble free running can now be enjoyed, as demonstrated at the AGM in 2012.
The end to end layout Much Hammering, which was exhibited by the Group for many years, now has a permanent home at the Pitstone Green Museum, Nr Tring and is operated by museum members every Bank Holiday.
