The 48th Grand Henham Steam Rally takes place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024, between 10am and 6pm. Gates open at 9am. https://henhamsteamrally.com East Anglia Gauge 1 will be attending with our 'Anglia Roads' portable scenic layout.

26th October 2024 - 26th October 2024 EXETER GARDEN RAILWAY SHOW
@ Exeter

Matford Centre, Matford Park Road, Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, Exeter EX2 8FD

Admission £11, children free with accompanying adult. Free parking on site.

The Exeter Garden Railway Show is the largest of its kind in the South West, making a fabulous day out for all the family. The aim of the show is to promote the garden railway hobby. Regular features include a wide selection of traders and working exhibition layouts. Live steam and electrically powered locos as well as vintage, clockwork and heritage trains. Ample onsite FREE parking, with excellent all day catering and refreshment facilities. Why not pick up a bargain from our massive second hand Bring and Buy Stall?

@ Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell, Derbyshire.
Gauge 1 North will return on 19 July 2025. Featuring Ridings, the Yorkshire Group's large running track, with live steam and electric running, alongside around 25 traders, it's a great day out for the family.

Using the Events list

This events list is in the public part of the website and should only include events open to the public though admittance may have to be arranged in advance. However, some closed-to-the-public events do creep into this list by mistake so you are advised to check with the organisers before attending. There is also a members only events list in the password protected part of the website.

Please note that most G1MRA events are organised locally and that some Groups have their own websites – See Groups for further information

Please observe the protocol: Spectators are not to get in the way of drivers of trains and drivers should not obstruct the tracks when stopping. (see Standards and Guidance).

For G1MRA run exhibitions, but not Get-Togethers unless specifically requested, please take the current boiler certificate for each live steam loco you wish to run (see Standards and Guidance).
